In April of 2018, my creative partner and I approached Salesforce’s Brand Team with an idea for a limited-time rebrand that would go against our strictest corporate logo guidelines by removing “Salesforce” from the logo all together.
Replacing the Salesforce wordmark with the LGBTQ+ flag visually reflects the true responsibility of corporate involvement during Pride Month- to give a platform to an underrepresented community. After the success of early Pride activations, our Global Employer Brand team’s senior manager approached us with an opportunity to temporarily take over all visuals for Salesforce’s social media channels.

After our marketing efforts lead to a 200% increase in employee involvement in pride events across 32 cities globally, the rainbow cloud logo continues to be our annual limited edition branding.
